As a music lover and enthusiast, I've always wanted to be in a band. Since I was a little girl, the fascination with album covers has accompanied me. Back then, I imagined that one day I would be able to design record covers so I started this habit of collecting many in my visual library.

If I had a band the name would be The Swimmers. A name that came naturally to me considering that swimming has a strong presence in my career, as much as music and art.

I made this illustration it in early 2021, in a post-anxiety crisis context, inspired by the anxiety issue. Mental health is an important topic for me, because it is one of our pillars and not only that, as an artist, I believe that there are still certain taboos and romanticizations regarding this issue that put us in an undue position, and that implies neglecting this aspect. So the theme must be addressed more and more and by all of us, since most of the world's population suffers from some related disorder, whether facing anxiety or other disorders.

Despite that, moved by my passion for music as much as for cinema and fashion, I decided to create a concept of what would be the album cover art for my fictional band I invented myself.

Usually, when I listen to a song or an album I automatically start thinking about the colors it has.

The colors of a sound, the colors of a letter...

And, looking at the artwork on the album covers it brings me into the context of that history.

For me, I always feel transported to that universe, that's why I believe that the images on the album covers are there for that, to help us enter that universe and feel inside the history.

I think it's fascinating!

So, I started to imagine what it would be like to do the reverse process: with the image already created, imagine what this album would be like, what the story, rhythm, melody...

What would the promotional artwork for this album look like?

What would the release poster look like?

I was curious about this and awakened to create this story.

It occurred to me to rescue the desire to create a cover for an album that would be like me, an album by a band that I would listen to and would like to hear and taste it, since my relationship with music permeates all the senses.
